Bruce and Christine Hale serve as temple site missionaries for the Tallahassee Temple, teaching what a temple is and how it differs from meetinghouses.
Ross Penrod moved to Tallahassee specifically to work as the onsite project manager for the construction of the Tallahassee Florida Temple. He and his family are now members of the Tallahassee Second Ward, a local congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
One of the most important beliefs of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is expressed by the work done within its temples. “We participate in temple work with heavenly joy, knowing that it helps prepare us, our descendants, and our ancestors to dwell in God’s presence,” said past Church president Wilford Woodruff.
Local leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a virtual Interfaith Roundtable titled, “Why Temples in Modern Times,” Tuesday, May 11 at 7 p.m.
